The Sonoma County Department of Health Services is seeking to establish a pool of extra-help, bilingual and regular candidates for the Outpatient, Case Management, and DUI Programs. Our bilingual vacancies require candidates possess a basic level of Spanish (conversational level). These on-call positions require the availability to work all hours, days, and shifts.

AODS Intake Interviewers perform duties such as: interview clients during the initial intake session, assist in identifying barriers or goals, schedule clients for identified services and/or refers to other service providers, maintains ongoing contacts with assigned client, and performs related duties as required.

Requirements for this position are either, 1 or 2, with positions in the DUI Program having additional requirement:

1. Twelve (12) college units in AODS studies, psychology, counseling, social work, or a closely related field AND one year of program or administrative support (preferably in an AODS program).

2. Twenty-four (24) college units, including twelve (12) units in the areas listed above, can be substituted for the one year of required experience.

Additional requirement for DUI Programs, per Title 9 of California Code of Regulations:
Candidate should meet the above requirements, plus needs two years experience teaching or providing AODS education and information to persons with alcohol and/or other drug problems in a classroom setting.

Community Action Partnership of Sonoma County is looking for a Mental Health Program Specialist for the Health Division.

The Mental Health Program Specialist will work with a team of individuals who are responsible for the oversight and implementation of the Prevention and Early Intervention (PEI) Grant, and future mental health grants for the Health Division of Community Action.  The position requires an individual to work in a fast paced environment, communicate professionally, provide support to at-risk families and teens, and the ability to work independently and solve problems. The position will be responsible for assisting in the planning and conducting of community workshops and collaborating with partner organizations to enhance county-wide mental health systems. In addition, this position will involve facilitating and directing transitional-aged youth to implement an on-line social marketing campaign to outreach to at-risk teens in Sonoma County.

Candidates must have a minimum of five years experience delivering mental health and/or counseling services. Candidates should have a BA degree or equivalent demonstrated experience. (preferably in psychology, social work, or related field). Candidates should have excellent organizational skills and excellent writing skills.
Candidates should have strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills. Candidates need the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from supervisor, co-workers, community organizations, and the general public. The position requires the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Intermediate to advanced PC computer competency required in Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel. Candidates need an interest in delivering comprehensive sexual health education for youth.

The Latino Service Providers Sonoma County [LSP-SC] is a non-profit, membership based program. It utilizes a networking model among community Latino service providers to exchange information about activities and resources that will promote economic stability, educational success, access to healthcare and mental health services and other resources and areas of interest for underserved, at-risk families throughout Sonoma County.

The ideal candidate is bilingual, bicultural and will have experience working in an office setting in Sonoma County. They will demonstrate excellent communication skills, adaptability, and great attention to detail. Must be reliable and professional and have a good command of written and spoken English as well as fluent in reading, writing and speaking in Spanish. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs, Internet research, and data entry.

This is a part-time, contract position with no benefits. Occasional night and weekend work based on scheduled presentations, events, and workload.
